We started Inner West Gutter Cleaner because too many owners in this pocket of Sydney were being quoted city-wide rates by companies who’d never dealt with a Federation box gutter, a shared terrace roof, or thought twice about where the leaf litter ended up afterwards.
Why we started here, and stayed here.
Inner West housing is its own animal. Federation terraces with box gutters buried between party walls. Californian bungalows with deep eaves under a hundred-year-old fig. Strata blocks in Ashfield and Dulwich Hill where nobody’s quite sure who’s responsible for the shared downpipe. None of it looks like the display-home suburbs most gutter companies are built around.
We’re based in Marrickville and work almost exclusively across the suburbs immediately around us: Newtown, Balmain, Leichhardt, Ashfield, Petersham, Rozelle and the rest of the Inner West council area. That’s a deliberate choice. Staying local means less time on the road, faster booking turnaround, and a crew who’s already seen your street’s particular mix of jacarandas, plane trees and camphor laurels drop leaves into a gutter exactly like yours.
It also means we notice things a citywide operator wouldn’t bother with. Blocked gutters don’t just overflow onto your fascia, the runoff carries leaf litter and silt straight into the stormwater drains that feed the Cooks River a few streets away from most of the homes we work on. So we bag every load for green waste instead of leaving it in the gutter or hosing it down the drain. It’s a small habit, but a few thousand Inner West roofs doing it properly adds up.
We’d rather be the best gutter cleaner in fifteen suburbs, and good neighbours while we’re at it, than an average one across all of Sydney.

We photograph every job
Before-and-after photos are standard, not an upsell. If you’re renting the place out, they go straight to your property manager on request.
We flush-test every downpipe
A gutter can look clear at the top and still be blocked halfway down a downpipe. We run water through every outlet before we call a job done.
We’re honest about what’s not urgent
If we spot a hairline crack that can wait a season, we’ll tell you that instead of quoting a repair you don’t need yet.
We keep it out of the Cooks River
Every load of leaf litter and silt gets bagged for green waste rather than left to wash into the stormwater system. Small habit, big difference across a few thousand Inner West roofs.
We’re insured and harness-trained
Terrace and semi roofs are often steeper and narrower than a standard suburban block. Our crew is trained and equipped for that, not just a ladder and a leaf blower.
